Some help to SBC© TDs

Some sentences to use in SBC©

I have experienced that you are good TDs, and I am happy for that, then I know SBC© will have a long and good life.

I always write in a simple English, many of the members and you may have some difficulties with high English.

You are different types of human beings and do things in different ways, I will not correct you, but give you some advises, which I hope you will follow in your personally way.

  1. I set SBC© with these names: satto~SBC TD~SBC Police~pjkaitala~topsecrete~reggaedk – NEVER touch/remove a name; IF it is really necessary, you can change tourney BEFORE it starts without any damage, BUT Pentti aka pjkaitala, Rikke aka reggaedk (Rikke is our webmaster) or I will always be in touch, so only do if CATASTROPHE.
  2. Please look for sitouts before saying welcome etc, if I am in BBO I like to sub sitouts. Please find subs that suit each other, level country etc.
  3. I have made some sentences/phrases (please look below), please use them or do them personal, with some of your one words (they must be short and easy to read). Players shall know they are playing in SBC© and the standard is the same even different TDs.
  4. Please read the rules. I get very sad, when I see a SBC© TD has not read or can't the 10 rules.
  5. I DO mean it when I say even Stayman has to be alerted, as the answer(s) has too. MANDATORY! Many systems are played and allowed in SBC©, so ALL conventional/artificial bids have to be alerted till 4th level. MANDATORY!
  6. I don’t like novice, beginner and private skill level in SBC©, we playing in a club which is NOT just a tourney. I always ask them to change, if they don't, I tell them I will sub them, when round has finished. If I am in doubt they change to a level I don’t believe in, I look in members list, and tell I wont have “liars” in the club and give them the last chance to be honest, else out! Please report to me. Email: sbc@satto.dk
  7. All players are members and therefore I find it naturally, we wait for them if they disconnect. Please wait minimum 2 minutes. 1 minute if late and time running out.
  8. If a table is slow or have been waiting for a member/sub please “push” them if they don’t finish 2nd board in round before 4 minutes left, they will get average, so please tell them to start bidding before.
  9. When 2-3 minutes left in round, please have an eye on late tables go to them and look if they will finished. Please note the late tables. When next round has started, please look if they have finished. Players shall know we always adjust and know which tables need adjustment. When we adjust no need to add time so please DO NOT add time. Mostly they finish.
  10. I find it impolite to tell which tables are late, it is enough to tell how many late tables.
  11. A hint:  have members list open, many, who has played as a guest, thinks, they are a member

These sentences are a help and it should NOT be necessary to use them all. Only the 3 first.
Some days you may have problems with members, then use the sentense, which is necessary.
